A lot of the videogame stores are located in the district known as Akihabara. Remember how I said that Japan was the mecca of videogames? Well, think of Akihabara as the mecca of all geeky things. Or you can be like me and buy a dakimakura, or a body-sized pillow adorned with an anime character. I have my needs, okay?! The largest continent in the world also naturally offers the most variety in terms of locales and experiences. Do you want some peace and quiet so you can spend some time with the man or woman of your life?

Are you looking for a challenge to help you push yourself? Or immerse yourself in a foreign culture? Fear not, for I am here to help you out with your choice! Here are some of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia! Hanoi has a little bit of everything for everyone, which makes it a prime destination for tourism! Tokyo is, by far, one of my favorite cities not just in Asia, but in all of the world. Then again, the business are part of the charm.

Yoyogi Park and the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden are two of the most famous nature parks in Asia, with the latter being an absolute wonderland in spring when the sakura trees blossom with their distinctive pink petals. No list of the top tourist destinations of Asia would possibly be complete without mentioning Beijing! While China has had its fair share of controversy over the last couple of years understatement of the decade , that has done very little to detract from the natural beauty and appeal from the city.

For those of you who are interested in history, Beijing has not one, but two castles — the Forbidden City, which is absolutely amazing on so many levels and, thanks to how well it has been preserved and the museum exhibit filling its hallways, gives a true sense of what was like for the various families occupying it for over five hundred years; and the Summer Palace, which… Just look it up and see for yourself, no words can describe that colorful beauty!

Of course, we also have to mention the historic Tiananmen Square where in a single, unarmed man stood in front of the tanks coming to suppress a protest, as depicted in one of the most famous photographs in the world. Speaking of historic locations, another place you can visit is a little thing you may have heard of called the Great Wall of China?

Now, I have to be honest — Beijing is not a perfect city, not in the slightest. There are 33 land-based casinos, of which The Venetian Macau is the biggest by far. There are over slot machines and tables on the premises of the casino, a truly impressive offering by any standards. The Venetian has won its first award the very same year of the opening date, in — Best Hotel in Macau, by Finance Asia Business Travel Poll and that was but the beginning of a long line of international recognitions and nominations.

But what I was personally really impressed with are the private gaming rooms in the Paiza Club — an exclusive club which caters to VIPs alone. These rooms bear the name of some of the greatest Asian cities and regions, such as Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

The amazing architecture and the luxurious furniture will make you feel like you have been teleported to a different era. You can imagine that the croupiers at the tables are just as classy as the surroundings and their manners and professionalism beats that of Las Vegas dealers by far if there is even room for such a comparison.

I decided to do my usual stuff this New Year again and visited the capital of Cambodia for a spin on the roulette tables. The wing where my room was situated faced the river, and I could see it from my balcony. Despite my rich experience in casino resorts in Asia, this was my first time in the Mekong territory.

Okay Boutique is one of my favourite hotels in Phnom Penh, I really enjoyed staying there. The balcony views from higher floors are great, as is the rooftop pool and restaurant. Definitely request a high floor when booking if you like nice views.

Book through this agoda link for better prices. Okay Boutique hotel is a great choice, request a room on a high floor for some great views. Point Boutique Hotel , Street Very good online reviews, in particular guests liked the location and rooftop bar. Point Boutique hotel on the right, great views from the 12th floor as it towers over neighbouring properties.

Lux Riverside Hotel and Apartment , Street Excellent hotel in a fantastic location right on the riverfront. Good sized rooms, that are clean and functional. Many repeat business and solo travellers always stay here as the rooms are ok for the money and the location is unbeatable for the girlie bars on street. You could do a lot worse than this hotel when staying in Phnom Penh. No riff raff here…. Modern, clean rooms with high ceilings, mood lighting and first class fixtures and fittings eg.

The only thing that let this place down for me was the relatively small size of some of the deluxe rooms 24 sq m, some are 28 sq m. This gave me a poor first impression just after checking in. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat….
